Name: Illusen Heart: Light Breed: Mustang Age: 4 Gender: Mare Markings: Three stockings and a blaze Color: Chestnut History: Once was queen of a herd that lived in a glade. A thunderstorm shocked them and sent them running. She wandered eversince, searching for the perfect home. Personality: Kind, generous, trustworthy, thoughtful, brave
The mare entered the towering gates. The fresh scent of Spring beckoned her. Everything she saw reminded her of her old home. Her tresses floated in the light breezes. She felt welcome. This place is beautiful, she thought happily. She reared in exhileration, pillars striking the crystal sky. Large orbs searched the peaceful landscape for another equine. As she looked around, she listened, for the wind was whispering. The mare tilted her crown, catching as much as she could of the conversation. Oh the sun has made today quite a day, I'll say. Look out at the clouds so clear and white that sail across the sky. Lucky we are part of it all don't you agree? Illusen laughed at the chatter. But yes, it was quite marvelous to see the sun striking the clouds so. And when she heard this, she took back what she said about this being like her old home. It had something that the glade would never have. Peace. Soothing peace and protection. She never thought she would think this, but here was much better than her old home. Snapping out of her thoughts, she continued scanning the landscape.

<o> Psyche who hadn't heard from an incoming 'quine for awhile, now sensed one. Her pillars carried her effortlessly 'cross the loam. Steady and light was her gait as was the core of her heart. Only she would feel the deepest love for her love Inevitable, whom she wished more time was made for. Thoughts were drifting away as she approached the mare, dreamily as they usually were. Finally, dazed, the lady snapped out of it to face the new entree.
"I am sorry for my wandering mind...it does that often."
Her eyes focus on the feas questioningly.
"So, what brings you into these lands of Equus?" <o>

The moment Illusen spotted the Lady, she lowered her crown in respect. Lady Psyche, I am here to find a home away from pain. A home that welcomes peace and banishes hate. My herd was spooked, and they scattered. Since then, I have wandered with a heavy heart, waiting for the day I'd find where I belonged. She paused for a moment, reflecting on her experiences. And I feel that this is it. Lady Psyche, will you accept me into this marvel of a place? Illusen lifted her head. She watched the mare, hope in her eyes.

<o> Seeing the mare's respect and quiet manner before a royal she smiled. Orbs lit up unexpectedly and a warm flush of happiness was brought 'pon her crania. The mare's pendulum hung low and still near her hocks and even a little past, 'twas like spun moonclouds cascading downward. Calmly she answered the fea with bright eyes.
"Of course you are accepted! You have a brave heart for coming here after what happened. May you find comfort in everything you do."
Psyche spun on her pillars and sped off into the dense foliage beyond. Far away, the assuring howl of the wolf rang out and she sighed inwardly. There was still much to be done, but the night was young. <o>

Illusen smiled brightly. Her orbs lit up with happiness. Thank you so much, Lady Psyche. I will certainly enjoy my stay here! She heard a loud cheer from the trees. Oh, she was so excited! A whole new life, away from her suffering and pain. The ache for her old home disappeared. She was in someplace better. Banner fluttering in the wind, she galloped off to be claimed. A dream come true, she thought.
