Standing placidly upon a knoll, daggers placed squarely atop its summit, stood a murky tinted fae, she who was dubbed Ebony Sage. For in the language once known as French, Sage meant wise, and this the vixen was blessed with, knowledge. Now, not to brag, but she was wise beyond her young age, mind working in mysterious ways that was occasionally difficult to figure. Yet, this was not her only quality, not her only good trait. In fact, sometimes her erudition got the better of her, but that was another story. For now, she pushed her life of the past from her mind and sighed, deep pools of russet drinking in her new surroundings. A quiet whicker was released to any one willing to listen; but mainly directed to the Lady of these lands. She awaited an answer, auds pricked excitedly.

<o> The Lady, sensing the presence of another new arrival, two-beated forward. Through the dense foliage she traveled until she finally crossed the forest's border into the great field know as Molaz. Her pistons carried her delicate cage ahead, and her crest held her dipped arabian crown. When at last she spotted the shadow kissed mare, she whickered a warm greeting. Opened napes sent out clouds of steam as it was a brisk summer morning.
"Welcome to these lands of forever, may I ask your name and calling into these lands? Many are coming, and that is very good indeed..."
Her emotions shown through her chocolate eyes as she thought about how far this world had come... <o>

A grin spread wide across the ebon maw, gleaming alabaster ivories glinting in the eerie golden light shimmering down upon the two equines. Jaws opening and closing tenderly, a low rumble of a whicker was announced to the Queen, dial dipped in respect to the fair lady, admiring the shining slate pelt so near, yet so far. Sage knew she would be looked down upon for quite some time, especially by her Royals, until she found a stag who would care for her for who she was. But for now, she was content, optics glimmering mischievously, for she had stumbled upon a new land to wreak havoc upon. Chuckling teasingly to herself, she chided her mind for working its strange ways yet again. Her? Havoc? T’was a laugh, the placid shadowy fae wreaking havoc, but, you never know. She slowly spoke to the Queen, still badgering herself for thinking so recklessly. "Hello, my Queen. I am Ebony Sage, and I have arrived to be judged by others, for in my former land I was tossed hastily aside like a useless plank of wood. I do not wish to be treated that way, nor do I expect to be treated like Royalty. But I do wish to find a stallion to capture my tattered heart, one to live with for the rest of my life, however long it may draw out to be, which will be the decisions of fate. For now, though, I wish to live in comfort with others, to find companions and experiance new findings... basically, all summed up, I wish to start on a fresh slate, begin a new, better life." <o> Muscles tensed as she sensed a need for power in the ebon-hued mare. What could this need for destruction be? Psyche wondered. No matter, here in these lands all that would change...hopefully. Cautiously, she extended her maw, a forced smile upon her kissers. For she had mentioned starting anew, yet you could never be too weary.
"Ebony Sage as they call you, your intentions shall not go unnoticed, nor shall you be left in the dark. However bad your past was, you must put that aside for you are at last safe. Join your fellow equines in the land of plenty and follow your heart."
She stood waiting for the mare to leave as most did after an audience with the Lord or Lady. This fea was different, Psyche felt different about her as well. Whatever it may be, she hoped the feeling would pass, for she loved all her children without holding back... <o>

Slightly taken aback, she ducked her dial in respect, brow furrowed in somewhat confusion. She felt an odd tension, and she disliked it. Was there something wrong with her? She did not know, yet she pondered it somewhat annoyed at herself for making the wrong impression… had she? Had the Queen read her thoughts? Feeling slightly invaded, she heaved a low sigh and turned, muttering a warm, "Thank you,” to her Queen, before plodding away to find a true love, although her heart felt sunken. Orbs listless, she left abruptly, disappearing over the bounds instantly, hoof beats echoing in a hollow sort of way for a far longer time, even after she was gone.
