The ess scanned the barren land, two vultures circling their next meal above. Their cries seemed to cut through the air like knives - the horrid creatures that they were. Watching them with disgust as they dove to the earth, a shiver went down her spine. Feeding off of others was not her style. No, this vix was not like the others, the other mares that called themselves "Darks". She could take care of herself, with or without a brute. Snorting, the bay Arab fae dug the tip of her dagger into the hardened dirt. So easily it shifted under her strength. Many 'quines were the same, especially the Lights - so weak, always failing when under pressure. Karma would change all of that. Whichever stag would dare claim her, would sure have his hooves full, yet would be one of the luckiest of all. The bay mare seemed to blend in with the dry hues of the land, her ebon mane and whipcord the only thing setting her apart. Pracing about, Karma waited, somewhat patiently. These lands of "claiming" were nothing but an excuse for a brute to take home an ess as a prize and treat her however he willed her to be treated. Karma would not have that, she would not be some other's toy or puppet to be controlled. She had already dealt with that once - not again. Sighing lightly, Karma stood, alone with the vultures feasting in the far distance. Scents of mares and stallions swirled around her nares as she tried her hardest to ignore them. Wondering about her future mate, she thought about what he would be like. Surely all of the fine stallions already gave away what a Dark could call love. That she would simply have to deal with. The heat pelted her bod, a light layer of gleaming sweat on her barrel. Mouth dry, a whinny emitted from her maw, daring any stallion to "sweep her off her hooves".

Karma stood silently, agitated as she breathed heavily from the immense heat. Pacing impatiently, her orbs darted with fire from here and there. Was she not good enough for any to give a second glance? Was she not "kind" enough? Darks, huh, they disguisted her, calling themselves ones from hell yet doing nothing but spouting foul words to prove it. Kicking at the loose dirt clod that lay on the earth, she snorted and whinnied loudly. The rays from the enormous sun pelted against her even more, now sweating as the day grew longer. It seemed to last a year. Whinnying loudly once more, she let out her thick scent. She was here and waiting.

I hear your solemn cry from afar tell me, what good are you to summon me from my lair and awaken the dragon inside?
hoofbeats resounded throughout the grounds. napes flaring, taking the scents encasing the stallion. he had heard the call, and now it was time to investigate. the voice, so desperate and barren, that it had roused him from his depressed state and caused him to jaunter about in a mad dash. he must find the maiden...and soon. he was still without a lead, or any mare at all...perhaps this was his chance, his destiny. just the night before, as the full moon cantered up to the heavens to perch for the night, he had called upon the darkness within him to find one suitable for him. his power-hungry attitude, his mood-swings, and bouts of insanity. forsworn was he, first to be called.
destiny fate love hate
at last, the minx's silohette came into view, looming larger the closer he came. within a couple yards of the ess, magick stopped, waiting only a whole second before speaking himself. his streamer blew dejectedly behind him, almost as if it missed the previous running state they had experienced. cholera's twitched, paranoia creeping to the corners of his twisted mind. through his chocolate optics, he could see the beauty this she possessed. dark radience, simple elegance. the bronc searched deeply into her unwaverying pools, wanting to know, was she the one?
'ello there ess. tell me and tell me quick, for I have little time for follies. I see you are alone, never a positive sign for a maiden in your situation. but forgetting that matter, I offer a worthy duchess such as yourself a place in my harem. your choice. come now, or forever hold your peace.
with that the stallion set off at a gallop. starting off to his home terra Maleck. it was her decision now, she knew where to find him if she wished. whipcord again rejuevenated at the thought of flying, at least for awhile. pistons churned the earth, hardly touching as he raced the wind demons back to his homeland, his hell.
come now don't be shy you know where to find me so come now and fly
[ooc: hey delph, I'll claim ye' sorry I was in the royal ground and couldn't reply...come with me NOW! lol]

The noise in the distance Means nothing to me They simply add on to the burden That I unwillingly carry
Fae branded of darkness turned her boa towards the sounds of another Dark, the only she had even heard in years it seemed. Occasionally the scent of another would drift in and out of her breathers, taunting her it seemed. But these seemed to be approaching, lest she is convinced otherwise. Auds pinned upward toward the azul sky as she listened closely. Judging from the heaviness of the hoove beats it seemed to be a stallion - surely a hellion if he was in these lands of the cursed. Watching him approach, she studied him with suspicion. Karma had forever been suspicous of any that she did not know - and even then there was certain doubt.
And then he comes Out of the dust A mirage it seems One I may never trust
Watching him study her as well, she snorted quietly, sending her tresses of deep chocolate swaying around her. Flicking her whipcord, a curious glance was given to the brute, wishing for him to reveal his reason for traveling to these desolate lands. Ah, finally the stag spoke, as she listened with a mask of boredom. As many hellions did to her disliking, he soon after galloped away, seemingly a mere mirage, without even waiting for her decision. A hard stare was shown as her mind battled silently. Taking a final breath in these lands, she lunged forward, following the dust trail to the lands of the stag she was supposed to reside in. Thinking back to the conversation, she dumb foundedly realized she did not even get a name from this mysterious hellion, nor did her from her.
No name for a face No knight in shining armor yet Simply a fool who believes I will be in his debt
